1989 VW Cabriolet Top and inner Pad Assembly Replacement Pictures Before and
After we install a kit from

We thought we could just replace as oem but the inside is rusty! the rear cable
is unusable! Customer and us did not know about the condition of the inner
workings of assembly untill we removed the patterns.
See the old dried up top and pad we removed and found rust in rear window frame!
the previous top shop did not use stainless staples witch added to the process
of the rust. See how we cleaned and coated with

We could of called the customer and told him rust found! Game Over! you
have to take this to body shop for Restoration of top frame before we continue.
MrStitch made a command decision to fix rust problem and order replacement rear
cable so the customer could get car completed! saving time and money with the
extra charges from a body shop!
